Direct Sales Representative (DSR)

JOB PROFILE:

A direct sales representative (DSR) is a professional who is responsible for selling our products to customers (Distributors/Retailers/Chain Outlets/SMT/Modern Trades etc.). They take orders from the retailers/chain outlets/SMT (Standalone modern trade)/Modern Trade and co-ordinate the same to their respective distributors to fulfil the order at the earliest.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Retail Sales: Direct sales representatives actively seek out and identify potential retailers/SMT/Chain outlets to place our products in their shelf and moreover, taking order from them in a consistent and regular manner.

2. Customer relationship building: Direct sales representatives establish and maintain relationships with retailers/SMT/Chain Outlets by understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and providing personalized solutions. They aim to build trust and rapport to foster long-term business partnerships.

3. Product knowledge: Direct sales representatives have a thorough understanding of the products they are selling. They stay updated on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages to effectively communicate and demonstrate value to customers.

4. Sales demonstrations: They must do product demonstrations to potential customers (retailers/SMT/Chain outlets, etc.), highlighting key features and benefits. They adapt their approach to match the needs and preferences of each customer.

5. Sales Reporting: They must take a record of all the retailers/SMT/Chain outlets assigned to them by including all the necessary details like: Shop name, shop owner, contact number, address of the shop, how much stock given to each of the retailer and what is their sales potential on a per day or weekly basis. They must give all the details on a per day basis to their respective Team Lead.

6. Merchandising: Direct sales representatives should carry out all the merchandising activities at the shop/retail counters/SMT/Chain outlets for higher visibility to the end consumer such as sticking posters, hanging danglers, placing standees, displaying the product in the fridge and on the retail counter as well in a right manner that appeals to the end consumer. They must wear a company provided T-shirts while going out in the field.

7. Beets management: Direct sales representatives will be assigned specific routes/beets to manage. They must cover 50 (Retail stores/SMT/Convenience stores, etc.) every day for 6 days in a week and should ensure the placement of the product in every outlet they visit. They ensure proper coverage of their assigned beets/routes, prioritize sales opportunities, and maximize sales potential within their allocated area.

8. Collaboration: Direct sales representatives collaborate with their respective distributors and company’s assigned team lead to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. They provide valuable feedback from customers and contribute to the improvement of products and services.

9. Continuous learning: Direct sales representatives engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance their sales skills, stay updated on industry trends and best practices, and improve their knowledge of the products they sell.

10. Sales Target: They must meet their monthly sales targets assigned to them by their respective team lead. After meeting their monthly sales targets, they will get a recognition from the company in a form of “Best salesman of the month” and will also get incentivised accordingly.

Qualification & Requirement:

 

1. One must be 12th Pass or having a graduation degree.


2. One should have a prior experience in sales as direct sales representative (DSR) in Beverage industry or FMCG industry.


3. One should have a good soft skills and communication skills. (Hindi & English)


4. One should have a great sales skill and willing to continuously improve one’s skillset.


5. One should have a good market knowledge (retailers, SMT, chain outlets, modern trades etc.) of the assigned locations.


Other requirements:
  1. One should have one’s own bike/scooter/scooty etc.
  2. One should be well dressed and groomed while going out in the field.
  3. One should be a resident of or live nearby to the assigned location.

Salary & other benefits:

Salary: INR 15000 – 18000/Month
Fixed Travel Allowance: INR 100/Day (Working days)
